You made a mess of that quotation... >_>; Also that isn't the kinda excitement I want. I want something to make me feel like I'm experiencing it for the first time. Going to Cape Town over weekends and experiencing the night life that side was one of the things that made me feel like I was an explorer.

I know. But that was just the thing...both sides where heavily excited at the prospect...the lights, the walking the train ride...I/we were lost in a haze of excitement that could only be relived by the absolute open-mindedness that came with Cape Town:

Mesopotamia for shisha and Iranian coffee, then Mr Pickwicks for homemade burgers and alcoholic milkshakes with Shpongle blaring in the background the variety of bars with something interesting to them. The connection of all races at Mama Africa...possibly the prospect of a beer tasting at the Paulaner Brauhaus (since closed down). A walk to the Cape Quarter and some...epic partying and chatting with people who had recently finished a Cairo to Cape bicycle trip.

Even the possiblity of being mugged at gunpoint at 4am on your way to the train station as you go back to Stellenbosch. That was enough to make me run around like a mad thing and try to take in every bit of the city...

Love come visit me and I will take you on a wild adventure, I will even get you alcohol. This place may suck pretty hard but it has some perks, like the souqs and not getting mugged at gunpoint.

Look Siren doesn't exactly love being here and trust me when I say she is trying her damndest to get me to go home, but even as stubborn and bitchy as she can be she recognizes the beauty just hidden a bit.

As much as I love the odd trek through the wilderness I'm a suburb ->city folf. The ebb and flow of the traffic, . (yes...I like traffic...even heavy jams the only thing I worry about in a traffic jam is if my engine will overheat) the bustle of Bellville train station the non-insane heat. JHB isn't so much my cup of tea but Centurion and Pretoria have a certain niceness to it.

Sidenote: even if they (Saudi/Dubai) paid 40kpm and paid for my accommodation I/We would outright refuse the offer. I'd be arrested within 2 days that I started working for being too outspoken.

Just a little bit, people giving me too little notice and not telling me things. Grrr frustrating. Also while Ivic has a cat in heat meowing her head off, I have a cat with an injured (Probably broken) leg who is screaming and I can't do a damn thing about it. Can't even get close without being attacked and mauled.
