Please. My mother would say she told me things when she was just downstairs and I was upstairs and she would just shout because she couldn't be bothered to walk up the stairs and speak to someone like a normal person.

Oh you're not alone, my house is normally filled with people talking to eachother across the room. Then followed by the loud and annoying "WHAAAAAT?"

My mom and I used to have bedrooms next to each other. She has 40% hearing in one ear, and about 80% in the other because of damage from a fun wrestling match with her brother when they were kids (still doesn't prevent her having the most amazing pitch and musical ear). So sometimes I would shout from my bed "what's for dinner" and I'd get "yes you can feed the cats." so I'd repeat "what's for dinner" and she'd say "they're almost out of soft food, so maybe tear up some chicken." so eventually I'd sms her because its funny and say "WHAT IS FOR DINNER" and then she'd say "why are you shouting?"

I miss those days :P

Yeah... Mine does the same... And then they blame it all on headphones...
When I'm studying I wear headphones so I can't the disturbed...
They would then take a broom, and bang against the floor.(Wooden floors)
Rather than making like normal people wood, and God forbid, walk the short distance up the stairs.

When I was working at Korbitec, my boss once had to tap me on the shoulder because my focus combined with the fact that I was wearing headphones meant that I had no situational awareness.
I was a bit sheepish after that.

When I clear, loudly and in a calm fasion say:"press the lightbulb shaped icon next to the words 'hidden lines'" an 5seconds later come to a confused student that has pressed every singe button except the little lightbulb and deleted their command line. Sent a nigerian prince their banking details. Broke up with thier girlfriend and started uninstalling windows.

New one. I have my bookmarks arranged alphabetically and for some reason the bookmark for Twitter keeps dropping to the bottom of the list! It's driving me crazy!

I don't know if I have said this on here before. Students who walk in half an hour to hour late in a lecture. I mean come on, why even show up, you are obviously not seriousness enough about the studies to be here on time.

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I will say it again. IF I CAN HEAR YOU CHEW YOUR FOOD OR YOUR GUM - YOU ARE CHEWING TO LOUDLY!

Especially if I can hear you chew over the noise of a goddamned underground train!!!

It's so nice being in the US where I never have to worry about that.

I can just launch Pandora, and I'm good to go.

My pet peeve is when other people won't give you privacy. When people are always looking over your shoulder to see what you are doing. it is really annoying.

PS this was probably mentioned before.

Another pet peeve with Kspore

Is when some people are so behind on tevhnology, that they can't use a modern calculator (Casio).

I wouldn't call that being behind. You don't know how to use things you've never been taught to use. You wouldn't call a teenager ignorant for not knowing how to drive.

My dad still uses an old HP calculator that uses reverse polish notation (postfix notation, or stack calculation).

That not the peeve, they refuse to get a calculator that they know how to operate. They insist on using mine for some reason, and end up doing all the calculations.
And I did teach them to use it, they just seem to never remember.

People who feel the need to put the A/C on full blast no matter what the weather is like. In Soviet Russia, air condition you.

My pet peeve is when people procrastinate.
But I will tell you about that later.

I also hate it when people try to be ironic!

:P
Yes, the humour here is intentional.

The sound of YOUR chewing...especially when the room/place we're in is inherently quiet and I can here the soft clack of teeth...(this isn't just Yote but more general)

Being late for anything. Except for work. Somehow I'm less perturbed by that...

People who start lane-hopping in traffic. You're not going to get there any sooner than the rest of us and you're more likely to cause an accident than anything else, so chill out.

Also people who can't park between the lines: did you parents not give you colouring in books when you were little or what?
