Literally, my biggest pet peeve is when people literally use the word 'literally' all the time without knowing its proper applications.

I literally cannot hear it without cringing slightly.

But in all seriousness this bugs me. Bugs me way more than it should.

Also another pet peeve would be the sound of doors being slammed. If someone does it, I'm not too stressed, but if there’s a draft that keeps slamming a door around, I go into instant rage mode.

The next time someone uses the word "literally" incorrectly, you should tell them: "You are literally a little illiterate". :P

I would use that all the time, if I could say it without sounding drunk

Almost the same as Neon's Literally pet peeve. I can't handle it when someone says seriously.

When you say he is seriously hurt. That is fine
BUT when someone uses it in the sense of a question.

SERIOUSLY??

OMFG I can't even use it on the forums without getting annoyed.

It annoys me because a stupid useless bitch whore, piece of useless human woman c@#t over uses it. Not only does she over use it she uses it in the most disrespectful manner possible.

Luckily she is out of our lives for good now but we are still recovering of her 8 years of bullshit.

Pet Peeve- Students using phones during lectures, or putting them on vibrate so as the moment that I deepest in concentration the whole damned table vibrates and I lose my focus.

I use my phone in classes... to read books...

We're currently busy with revision

Pet peeve of mine: trolls. The other day, I was talking to someone on the internet. A question was brought up: "What is really interesting that I don't know". He says that Google is actually a really big number. I corrected him, saying that googol is a number, not google, and even informed him of it's value, 10^100. He raged at me, saying it's google, that he's a mathematician, that I'm wrong, and then promptly left the chat...

I know he's just trolling. But really? Really? It's just... so annoying

Arise, dead thread!

When whoever puts in a load of laundry doesn't CHECK THE FRIGGIN POCKETS!!! Coins and other small items aren't a problem, but electronics usually don't come out so healthy. The absolute worst is paper tissues, it makes such a huge mess.

I'm guilty of that... My memory stick has been through the wash at least 15 times, yet still works.

I hate it when someone is frustrated, like when not being able to answer a question or do something right, or not be able to pick up or move something, and instead of asking for help, they grunt, and moan and do the sort of URRRRGRRRRGGGG noise.. Dammit man just ask for help instead of making all these passive aggressive noises to notify us that you're struggling.

Oh I know that. Electronics... Well my earphones got washed about 7 times but they are still okay.
Tissues? I make a point to immeadiately take out.
Because my dad does it all the time, and my mother is screaming in anger all the time cause she took the washin out the machine and its just flimmy flicks of puffy tisue shreds on EVERYTHING.

That's happens to be fairly often.

The best is when you take the washing out ,and you feel something in one of the pockets. Of course, it anyways turns out to be a flash drive, because anything else wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue.

I use handkerchiefs! Hehehehe!

Memory sticks should be fine, anything that doesn't have a battery should be fine... Worst case scenario is rusted pins...

My mate's iPod went through the wash twice (when he still lived with his folks) and it still works perfectly. I guess that shows how adamant Apple is on not letting users tinker with their devices.

Has that actually happened to you?

One time, someone welcomed me to a forum when I had been there for four years longer than he had (Tech Support Forum).

Pet peeve of mine, can't remember if I mentioned this before... People snorting, like the full backwards snot reverse with snot audible. I can't fucking handle it ALL MY MISOPHONIA FUCKING ALL OF IT!!!
I once almost walked out of a test unfinished because some idiot kept snorting at intervals like 20 seconds after one another and since that day I can't handle it. In the test I said FUCKSAKES as loud as I can so the oke could hear me.
Almost got thrown out aswell XD

I once started laughing uncontrollably in an exam. I can't even remember why, but try as I might I could not suppress it. Fortunately, by that point the exam was already pretty much over.

That happened again a few years later, and I ended up getting thrown out of class.

When someone talks to you while they're facing away from you, and then gets mad when you ask them to repeat themselves because you couldn't hear anything.
