I agree, hasty marriage usually causes more problems than anything else. Speaking for my man and myself though, we are both very much possessively monoamorous people. We're not in any particular hurry, we're only interested in the idea of marriage for the advantages it proposes (pun intended) in terms of social and legal security. We also both don't believe in the whole big lavish wedding thing either, rather use that money to invest in your home or something.

As for the history of divorce, see here for an interesting article.

I should specify that I meant I was jealous of the attention and praise, not really the actual marriage procedure. Petty, I know, but this is a confession thread after all.

All right, let me reboot this with a more interesting and genuinely embarrassing confession...

Back in high school I once went on a date with a girl, and only realised it was a date the next day. I realised it when I thought back on the general direction in which she was steering the conversation. In hindsight, no wonder she looked so disappointed. We basically never spoke after that out of sheer awkwardness. I had no hard feelings, in fact I was somewhat flattered, but she was obviously uncomfortable so I left it. In her defence though I had never had a romantic involvement yet at the time so nobody knew if I was straight or gay then. I even hung out with the "gay" group just because they were cool people.

Oh come on. That shouldn't be embarrassing at all.
I think it's cute for its innocence.

It's embarrassing for my obliviousness... but yeah I guess it's more funny than anything else.

I've never drawn a male character.
I do recall one or two attempts but none that came out finished in any way.

I much prefer drawing females

I can draw animals pretty well, but I can't draw a good human (male or female) to save my life.

I was taking a shower and i got to lathering my face when I felt a stringy mass descend over my hands and cling to my face and chin, i thought it felt like a really thick spider web. I panicked and swatted around me for a couple seconds before I realized it was my own hair that had just followed the flow of water and settled on my face

Perhaps time for a haircut

I cried my eyes out watching The Fox and the Hound, and I cried a whole bunch afterwards.

That 'Goodbye May Seem Forever,' scene, and that scene at the end where Tod and Copper go their separate ways and Copper smiles remembering the first day he became friends with Tod.

I watched it years ago and that movie still haunts me from time to time. I find it incredibly difficult watching that 'Goodbye' scene even now. *watching the scene now* Be brave Ryall, be brave. Oh God here it goes.

That was a great film. I don't remember it making me overly sentimental, but I certainly enjoyed it as a child. Ditto Disney's Robin Hood.

Robin Hood wasn't sad though. The Fox and the Hound on the other hand, has forever scarred me. Perhaps I have a hard time saying goodbye (forever) and letting go. That was the whole theme of the film.

No other film has gotten that kind of reaction out of me. The only other two films that did make my eyes sweat a little are Hotel Rwanda, and UP (the first 10 minutes or so (again with the letting go and moving on).

I agree 100%, that movie (and in particular the song when Widow Tweed releases Tod into the wild) made me cry more than any other. I have one objection though: it's nothing like the original book. Do yourself a favour and DON'T read it if you like your current image of the story. SPOILER: Everybody dies.

I like tangerines, I like to take the peel and squeeze it against my wrists and neck to get that scent on me. Yea it might be weird but in my mind I think it will attract dragonessis and they'll let me touch 'n' pet them and will be friendly because I smell like a tangerine.

The are days, such as today, in which I just want to drop everything and become a housewife. Raise kids, cook, clean, manage a household. Simple, monotonous, comfortable. Problem is, I would probably find it frustratingly mind-numbing. Good thing there's freelance and work from home these days.

There is not enough controversy here. Here's a good confession. I don't hate Justin Bieber.

I feel like a confession.

Those who follow what's happening in the 'dream catcher' thread might have read the dream I posted there the other day(the one about saving a princes)

I have to say I omitted a detail from that dream, in fact I didn't post that dream for quite a while untill I changed that detail.

I didn't say what my gender was in that dream.

I was female. And it was something I actually took notice of. "Oh hey, nothing down there... and squishy things on my chest, Im a woman!" And it went on to be the best dream I ever had. I was a dragoness chasing afer a princess and in the end I got her.

I realy-realy enjoyed that dream.
I hope to return to that dream again one night.
