That sucks, and sorry to hear it. Been in that spot of sitting between jobs for a while before as well, it's not fun, so I can only hope you have half the love and support I had during those months to help you through.

It does put into perspective the stuff I have been dealing with though, as bad as I am feeling now, it's a far cry from how I was this time two years ago. So I know it does get better, if you let it. Recently I have been feeling rather burnt out and my writing has come to a halt. So the last month or two I have just been fighting with the guilt of not writing anything or being creative, instead I've been binge watching series and playing pc games while the voice in the back of my mind keeps reminding me I should be more productive with my time and keep pushing with my creative pursuits.

I know. Its not good. Sucks not having a good income. Hence why I took the job last week, still trying to get my art work rolling and giving a decent income, but sadly didn't work out so back to focusing on my art.

For my creative work I made myself a Trello page with cards on it with all the ideas I want to make, helps organize things.
Because many times I struggle with overworking myself on 3d models, thinking, processing, deciding and designing, testing this... testing that... 100% self learned 3d modeller...

And need to keep bookmark of work cause then I know where I left off when I get back from a break.

and despite how traumatic the last 4 work days were... I didn't sit down and cry... I sat down and did a 3d model...

Though right now just going to have a bite then lie down, I did a little work... but I should rest... for my mental health...

If you get good enough at the art stuff and want to make living off of it; FA , Twitter/X and Bluesky seem to be the majority of where people post their stuff. Even I have made a couple hundred dollars on commissioned writing which has helped cover bills in the past. But it's a lot easier getting comms off of visual media as I've found out from friends in that space, even with some questionable art I know folks that are charging $20 to $45 for stuff that looks like a four year old drew it, just because it is original and not AI generated.

Actually picked up a cheapish XP Pen tablet myself to try get into the drawn media space, though not with the intent right now to monetize my skills. Mostly I just want to draw the characters from my stories because I'd have to win the lottery to afford to commission someone with actual skill to draw all of them for me. Being creative is a form of stress management for me too, so I get where you're coming from. Even if I'm not writing or drawing, I usually start cracking jokes and giving streamer friends ideas for stuff, just to have a creative outlet.
