Less important but also worth noting, Q is a geek. Not ubergeek, but geek nonetheless. Q is also a writer, not of much renown unfortunately, he barely managed to finish his first story (which he is reluctant to publish) and is having trouble finding time and inspiration to finish the other more important books. Q can and often does tend to be lazier-than-thou. Q is also a misanthrope of note, which, if you are any kind of familiar with a dictionary, means that his job in retail IT is counter-productive as he does not like humans much, when at all.
Q was also just a wee bit tipsy at the time of writing his intro, hence the 3rd person approach and the sharing of the stuff that nobody cares to know, which is uncharacteristic of his lone-wolf nature, but, when you think about it, ideal when writing an introduction.
