My psycologist said I should try get more friends who are based locally instead of overseas.

So I just googled south african furries and fond this site.

You received a bunch of sincere welcomes - most of which you haven’t responded to - and now you are calling this community toxic?

That seems a bit churlish of you.

To answer your question, there aren’t any other SA forums anymore. This is a community of diverse individuals, so if you put in just a little effort, you will almost certainly find someone who conforms to your definition of non-toxic.

Try that instead of making sweeping generalizations.

Also, there are many active Telegram groups.

Ye I haven't responed since last year as work sucked me up entirely. I've had chance to come back and look about and some stuff are wrong here

The site has it’s ups and downs - has humans do - and the users currently active are a small percentage of the total furry membership. There are hundreds of members who are not active on the forum but are active elsewhere - like on Discord or Telegram.

If you want to meet like minded furries, there are a couple of ways you can go about it.

1. You can write a thread about a topic you like, see who posts, and then private message (pm) them if you like their post, in order to start a conversation and to get to know them.

2. You can browse topics you like, look for furs whose posts you like, and do the same.

3. You can browse through the member list, look for profiles you like, and pm them.

4. You can download Telegram or Discord, and either follow the links on this forum to join groups, or you can ask a fur like me to send you an invitation to the groups.

Let us know which option works best for you.

I suspect that a lot of what you read might have been my doing, and I'll acknowledge responsibility for it, but let me assure you that I am largely past that. I can't speak for any other "dissenters" but apart from poking fun at the fact that this place is dying a slow death, I'm not here to cause trouble (any more). There's more to it but just in case that was what you were referring to I wanted to clear the air there.

If you truly believe we are toxic, it would be helpful for you to elaborate on why you think that's the case. I mean, my puns are fucking awful, and anyone who ventures into the NSFW part of the forum will likely contract five different types of cancer - but really, what turned you off so much from the forum? Maybe we can improve.
