Um... there are plenty of reasons why a hypothetical teenager wouldn't get laid, even in this modern age. Being unattractive, socially inept, sexually questioning, in the closet, isolated due to home schooling and/or an overbearing family, religious reasons, hitting puberty late, being a disillusioned misanthrope... and so on.

The fact that I have ticked almost all of these boxes - at least at different points - is pretty startling.
