I have just recently joined the mystical world of furries and would first off say hi. So My name is Matthew my fursona is a wolf that is gray and green his name is Jim Stone he's shy but once you get to know him he's warm and friendly. My hobbies include reading, movies, hiking, thinking and learning to program. I am still in high school and would love to learn more about being a furry

Hey Matthew!! Welcome to the forums!!!

What language are you learning?(programming) Also, are you teaching yourself?

Being a furry? Well... To me, it simply means, being yourself, and having fun!

Greetings.

Being a furry is not that difficult. You pick a room, mark the doorway to let them know it's yours.

Why are you lifting your leg? No no stop! Use this pen and door card.
We are not animals.

You have to be more specific. Are you referring to those who want to cuddle him or those he might want to cuddle?

Sup new dude. Hope you enjoy it here. There's orientation tomorrow morning in the main hall, you can meet the staff and get nice freebies. Don't worry if you walk into a place and suddenly forget why you're there... it just means the person controlling your sim cancelled the action. If you get a llama shirt you can wear it straight away, as in it will, without fail, appear on your body. Also once I pushed this vending machine and it fell over on top of me. I mean I died of course, but thanks to the wonderful world of Create a Character I reappeared with a slightly changed nose (the old one sucked anyway)

Enjoy!

Hello Matt, and welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy your stay and make many friends here!

I wouldn't say furries are a mystical world: it's not spiritual unless you're one of the individuals who want it to be. It may be mysterious though, because not many people know much about it. :P

Tell us how you found the website?

Also hiking, reading, movies and thinking are cool hobbies: I really enjoy those too. I notice also on your profile it says you like gaming; what games do you play?
Hahaha!

No you don't.

A lesson for you Matthew Wolf: don't trust huskies - especially the glowing blue ones! They're unnatural creatures, malevolent creatures, and they will kill you the second you let your guard down. That's the truth, and I won't sugar-coat it. This isn't some fairy-tale where they steal your gumdrops, or give you bad luck or some crap. They will find you, and they will bind, torture, and murder you, and glean immense satisfaction from doing so. Never give them your contact details. You've been warned.

Even after being here a bit, that was a terrifying post dude

It's not that bad Matthew, no one I know here has technically died..., technically...

Welcome though and enjoy the forum!
If you take your marker and connect this dot to that one, that one to this one here you will get a really annoyed dalmatian.

The European Badger (meles meles) is known to have a rather large range of vocalisations, though it must be noted he often makes no sense at all.

You know, I think you're actually on to something here Ryall. I won't lie, we do have murderous tenancies. And yes, the we indeed have bound, tortured and murdered new furs before. And yes, it was extremely satisfying. But it was all in the name of fun, so it was totally okay, right? I will be honest though, I wouldn't trust glowey huskies either. So yes, be afraid Ryall, be very afraid.

But hey there Mathew Wolf. No need to worry about all that. We're a very friendly bunch, I can promise you that :D
I really hope you have the time of your life here. Forget all your worries and responsibilities! Don't listen to grumpy Fleabag Mr Ryall here, he's just jealous of all the fun we're having :P

See ya around Mathew Wolf! :D

And if ever you get an invite from me and Tocs to a 'house party', don't hesitate to come by! Alone. Late at night.
