I'm Sarah. I'm from the Western Cape, now living in Johannesburg while I study. I'm studying Computer Science and I'm in my last year, finally. :D

I also work part time at a comic book store, which is interesting :p I'm currently reading LOW and Wayward however Sunstone is my absolute favorite ever (Lesbian BDSM Romance <3).

Aside from that, I love anime and manga, all the music, kink and video games.

the Monogatari series is my absolute favorite, can't wait for Kizumonogatari. Food Wars is also awesome. Currently watching One Punch Man and Dimension W. Manga-wise, I read mostly manga from incomplete anime series that I've enjoyed.

OMG that toothbrush scene...

Currently watching One Punch Man and Dimension W.

I love One Punch Man! There are so many badass moments in that anime, and the fact that Saitama is so "meh" about everything creates such a delicious contrast (even the way he's drawn is overly simplified and "meh" compared to the intricate detail of the other characters). But the true genius of that story, in my humble opinion, stems from his existential crisis.

My favourite manga (and anime) right now has to be Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou. It's super ecchi, though, so it's not for everyone. But Monogatari has some pretty ecchi moments in it, so maybe it's exactly up your alley.

There's also Steins;Gate, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Shingeki no Kyojin, and so many others!

OOH! OOH!! And Boku no Hero Academia starts 3 April! Can't wait to see Tsuyu come to life! Tsuyu is best frog girl ever!! <3

Huh? If it were dubbed I might agree with you, but I thought the Japanese voice acting was suitably silly. I mean it is partly a comedy.

Oh yeah, I agree. It's completely subjective in this case. The girls had super high-pitched voices, namely Miaa and the harpy. Usually this doesn't bother me when there is one character in an anime that speaks like this, but it was just too much for me. Maybe I'll give it another try sometime.

I think helium voices are just an artefact of Japanese voice acting, and are part of the reason why anime seems to be an acquired taste. It's understandably off-putting at first but after a while you just go with it.
