actually according to the Guinness book of records, as of the 9th of May 2013, Zimbabwe has the most official languages with 16, as approved by parliament...

Oh. :/ Not sure if I should take that as good news or not. One of my MSc supervisors was Zimbabwean and spoke one of the local languages.

it gets even weirder when the Methodist church literally three blocks from my house here in London does a service on Sundays in Shona, the most commonly spoken language in Zimbabwe...
