Hey there, a belated welcome to the forum.
I'm an ex Bloemfonteiner myself. Only discovered the fandom at a a late age when I moved up here, but met a few of the local Bloem furs on visits back there and you really should make an effort to get together with them they are really cool guys and girls.
Enjoy your stay.

The local furs when I first started meeting them in Bloemfontein was limited to about Mattedfur, but has grown to include Zee, Lil Wolfie, Faanvolla and Biffy, so definitely a growing community there.

There's really no excuse because Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer all have built-in spell checks and I think they are also all enabled by default. They underline all the incorrectly spelled words as you're typing. If people are misspelling words it's either because they don't respect the people they're talking to or are too lazy to right-click and correct the word (although that really falls back to the first reason).

nooooooo theres lotsa excuses... my personal favourite is because i can spell incorrectly therefore i shall not :P

That makes no sense. Are you saying that the ability to spell incorrectly gives you a reason to not use the built in spell checker?

Yea, kinda works that way. I always work on the rule that if your too lazy to spell, then I'm too lazy to read.
Like if someone asks you plz instead of please because it's shorter to type.
I always answer no because it's shorter than yes.

That said

Exactly like that. 99% of my posts on this forum are from my phone. I'm hardly ever in my office in front of a keyboard. Sometimes I get auto corrected too, that's why I say it does happen.

I tend to only use abbreviations and acronyms on watsapp or Skype, if I'm posting on a forum even via cellphone I go through the painstaking process of typing (mostly) coherent and fully formed words and sentences xD

I always type things out in full and as correctly as I can. I specifically installed a keyboard with arrow keys on my tablet because the lack thereof on my phone drives me mad: that little tab thingy you drag around is so imprecise.

I built my own fursuit (albeit a shitty fursuit but whatever) and its not quite zero cost. But I think everyone gets your meaning. You pretty much have only the material costs of things. I grantee that the most expensive thing on the suit will be the cloth itself because finding good faux fur is hard.

on a side note, cant wait to see pictures of your progress.

Same way you'd build anything: draw a diagram, gather materials and tools, and get building. :D

In my case I'm only busy with anthro stilts (kind of like these) so far, which are made of wood, screws, nails, nylon webbing (from an old tow-rope), hooked elastic cord, and an old pair of knee-pads.
Sticky_Fingers wrote:You pretty much have only the material costs of things.
Not even, everything I've used so far is scrap, broken, or second-hand.
Sticky_Fingers wrote:I grantee that the most expensive thing on the suit will be the cloth itself because finding good faux fur is hard.
That I agree 100% with, I can't even find a place that stocks it. But I'll be expanding my search radius as soon as a have an opportunity to go where I want to. If all else fails I'm willing to sacrifice a fluffy throw blanket.
