A wild badger appears
Hi yall.
I go by both Switch and Badger so take your pick.
Very new to these forums. Not as new to Cape Town having moved here in 2018, but hoping to expand my social circle a bit after night shifts, abusive managers, and then lockdown habituated hermit like tendencies.
I'm really into TTRPGs at the moment and am writing some homebrew campaigns for Pathfinder 2E. The goal is to DM a game at one of the friendly local game stores around here with "monster of the week" style stories and the option to pick up a pre-made character so commitment to the campaign is not required and new players can join and drop as desired.
I'm also a massive board game nerd and I'm always looking for nice people to bring to my table.
I'm also getting back into my powerlifting routine and diet and am always excited to talk about the art of picking up heavy objects and how to eat accordingly.
But yeah, hoping to meet some of yall and make some friends.

Heyooo! Welcome! Welcome!
Boardgames are awesome! I love playing new ones!
I got 2 decks of exploding kittens at a Christmas church bazaar in Potch.
Still trying to get Coup! It's a fun game!
I have no idea what most of the other stuff you meantuined is. XD

Exploding Kittens is fun! I've only played it the once though, and it was the NSFW edition which was utterly off the wall.
And lol, no worries on not understanding the rest. Pathfinder is basically Dungeons and Dragons for niche hipsters like me who got into Dungeons and Dragons 20 years ago and now are looking for something a little more like the rules we cut our teeth on.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Do you have a/any favourite lift/lifts when it comes to powerlifting? And what sort of things do you enjoy baking? I'm not really part of any CT DnD groups or similar but I do know someone who is and I'm sure he'd be keen to meet and add additional players.

Hello and thank you for the welcome!OhPossum wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 7:18 am Hi, welcome to the forum. Do you have a/any favourite lift/lifts when it comes to powerlifting? Favourite lift is prob the deadlift because of how much attention you have to pour into your technique. It's almost meditation to me now. But I enjoy a variety of the movements and bench press is exciting.
With baking, I really enjoyed learning to make breads and cakes. Although anything new really. I like to experiment and explore. Also working with chocolate is great. Infuriating but fun.
And yes please to introductions! I'm always looking to meet others in the DnD/TTRPG world because even if we don't end up playing in the same group, it's fun to bounce ideas off other DMs and hear of what they setup for their players.

Well enchantée!
So you're into powerlifting, board games, cooking, baking, whiskey, TTRPGs, video games?
Firstly, I like the 5th one the most.
I also do some lifting (have a daily gym routine before work). But I have a feeling my reason for attending differs from the average Joe haha.
From the looks of it. Coming from a new guy too. This place is huge on anything creative and gaming. So you'll probably have no problem with 'networking' or organizing some kief stuff to do.
Anyhow, see you around dude.

Lol! I have a pretty good home gym so my reasons to lift are pure by default. Really just chasing the question "can I one day pick up a car?"Washburn wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 10:42 pm Well enchantée!

And aye, whiskey do be delicious! My current favourite is Bains. You got a whiskey of choice?

I'm more of a scotch blend guy. So Famous Grouse is lekker. Vat 69 too.

Lol! Well here's to hoping we both can achieve our goals
Vat 69 is quite nice too! Have several good and fuzzy memories around it.
Don't think I've had the opportunity to try the FG
