Thread post count.

Yeah...

I know many people love the fact that we can post 50 things before a thread turns over a new page and that it makes threads not seem enormous in page count but rather in a mashup of TLDR's but there are some issues with this.

1. Flash player hates the youtube threads on my side on multiple platforms. It can take forever to load just the player for a video if it's video number 40 something on that page.

2. Picture threads uses massive amounts of data.

3. .gif threads even more data and takes forever to load.

4. The TLDR's. I noticed furries dislike summarizing. Maybe it's to vague for them or what not but damn having 50 posts per page makes it even look more like a waste of time to read some threads.

Honestly I'm a member of quite a few forums and this one takes the cake in post count per page. Was wondering if it can even be considered dropping this value and rather make more pages than having to scroll like a nutcase through the forums.

I've dropped it down to 30 posts per page so that's quite a bit fewer. I didn't understand your TLDR reasoning though.

Isn't that normally a user-defined setting?

Not with the default forum software. Or at least it's not with this default software, only with add ons.
