I left Oz with an American accent. Sev speaks in Strine, I do not.

You can set the forum to display the time of events however you want but it is a global setting so it will also affect the way posts are timestamped.

And there's no way to change that?

Does it really matter? A quick way to solve this problem is to simply not look at the timestamps, lol.
Because it would look more aesthetically pleasing if it didn't contain too much information about when you registered - it's really not necessary to display all of that.

I'm sure someone may have suggested this and please just send me in the right direction considering 93 posts with many of them being a little off topic is a bit tl/dr for me...

But I was wondering about an extra option in the members section that indicates where the fur lives. So that if we send a bulk mail about some form of meetup in the region or want to see who's nearby, that we can easily search for them...

I asked a similar question about sorting people by date last logged in. What you're suggesting is essentially the same except sorting by region.

I don't know of any option like that but what I did for Cape Town was just ask people to send me their email address and then set up a mailing list. I try remember to send out a link when there are posts discussing meet ups so that those that don't check the forums will hear about it.

There's also the Furry Pages thread in the forum which has the furs sorted according to who lives where (broken down by province) and their contact details. It's also only there if the user requests it.

I noticed something strange...

It says I have 991 posts on the left-hand pane. But if I search for all my posts, it will only give me "935 results"?
Capture.PNG
Capture2.PNG
I am guessing the pane on the left-hand side doesn't change when a post is deleted?

We don't always delete posts, some threads (or parts thereof) are moved to an Admin-only part of the forum. Since you can't see them, I suspect they will not show up when you enumerate all your posts. But yes, it's also possible that deletions don't count, I haven't really checked this.

If I do a search, I get 991 posts.

The difference in post counts is due to posts that are in areas of the forum you can't access. Posts that are truly deleted are removed from your post count. I've seen it happen when I've removed double posts or merged posts together.

I know this is kinda old as topics go, but could we get a sticky on the fursuits and clothing topic that could be used for reference and contacts about where to get fur and stuff for people wanting to try building their own suits?
I think it might help people who feel it's a dauntingly huge task to build a fursuit to see that these places to buy things are actally easily accessible.
That and I also just had to trudge through like 12 posts to find the details of a fur place that was mentioned oh so long ago in a conversation.

Since you already have done some research, why don't you start such a topic, and give me the link to it? I will convert it into a sticky for you.

Oh! There isn't one. :p I initially misread and thought he wanted me to sticky that thread. Explains why I didn't see it.

Eh, that might be better left to people who actually fursuit or build.
There are eyes and voice boxes and all that stuff that I know nothing about. I just needed a bit of faux fur for an unrelated project.
Was just a passing idea.

in the members section is it possible to make a column for last posted? or a way to see that without having to click on that person? it would be a cool way to see just how many furs have been active within the last month or so...

I agree with this. Information is power, and all that.

It's possible for admins/mods to sort by last forum visit but I believe we already discussed this a few years back. I can look though the settings again but I can't promise anything.

Edit: Nope. That's tied to the ability to see hidden users.

I was wondering if it is possible to create multiple themes for the sight as the black is really dark (duh) and everything is neon in comparison. A grey and whte theme could help to offset the neon. Unless I'm the only one bothered by the neon

The only neon I see is in your signature, and the several resident neon huskies.

Seriously though, I believe light-on-dark is best for on-screen reading, as it reduces the amount of light striking the retina to a minimum.

I like the black background with the white text. It is really easy on the eyes.

Possible - yes.

However, someone will have to design the themes for us.

Ok never mind , other than that the site is not very mobile friendly (not for chrome) but that is probably a fault with the code in phpBB instead of with what you guys can work with. Yes my signature is ironic and i will change it to be less neo like.

Huh? I'm using Chrome on my phone to view the forum and I've had zero issues, other than having to zoom in every now and then because the font size tweak is inconsistently applied.

If it works for you then great, its not like a massive problem on my phone but it does freak out sometimes, the zoom is an issue but a small one for me. And sometims when i make a mistake and try to fix it , the program will insert other words I've used instead of deleting the word.
