FAQ: The ZA Fur site

1) Why is this site here?
For one simple reason: to give South African furs a place to go that was “theirs”, owned and run by some of their own, to get to know one another and interact with each other in a neutral environment. It’s also here to “promote” the fandom within South Africa. This may be a tall order, but from small beginnings great things grow. We’ll never know until we try.

2) So who’s in charge?
In alphabetical order:
Anoyomouse: Site co-owner and Site Admin
Dracius: Site co-owner and Global Moderator
Kad Foxwolf: Site Admin
Keita Haruka: Site Co-owner and Admin

The four of us function as equals on this forum. We each bring something unique to the team and although we’re a pretty diverse group and don’t always agree on everything, we nevertheless make a good team.

3) Is the forum age restricted?
No. Any age group is more than welcome to join. The primary purpose of this forum is to build a community. We’re not a porn site, so if that’s what you were looking for…then we’re very sorry to disappoint you. We do make provision for our “yiffy” members in the form of hidden forums, which you may ask to be admitted to, provided we’re sure of your age. Please don’t request access if you’re underage. Not only is this illegal, it can also have very serious consequences for us. There are plenty of other sites around where you can access porn if that’s what you want without endangering us. Please don’t be selfish.

4) Are non-furries also welcome here?
Of course. Provided you’re not here to attack us or ridicule us, you’re more than welcome. We’re usually fun to be around.

5) What’s the deal with the custom titles?
Anyone may request a custom title if they want one. They are subject to approval, so if you’re a member of good standing who’ve made an effort to be a part of this community, you may request one. Just keep them tasteful please.

6) I just wanted to find other furries. Do I have to participate here?
Well…the site was intended primarily as a place for furries to socialise, so of course we’ll be far happier if you chose to join our community, but no. You can just use it as a networking site if you really want to. Either way, the result is a stronger South African furry community, so it’s all good.
