Re: Kubuntu help

I heard Gentoo takes forever to do anything with. Apparently hours to install what would take a few minutes on other systems. I still want to use Kubuntu but if I can't connect to the internet I can't do anything. Unless the rest of the stuff is on the cd I might as well delete the whole thing. Have...

Kubuntu help

I set up Kubuntu to try use instead of windows but I've been having a few issues that have wound up in me not using it much at all. So I was wondering if anyone can help me. Here my main problems. No games is boring. It doesn't even have the small little games like windows comes with. I hear things ...

Re: Bullard fired for ''racism'

This doesn't say much for the openess of our society though, especially as I remember another journalist got fired and was in the media recently. The reason? He was writing on freedom of religion and said it was okay for people to worship and believe in Satan. People got upset and he was fired. On a...

Bullard fired for ''racism'

I only know what I read here, http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=13&art_id=vn20080411111610636C967343 but I'm curious as to what people think. Personally I don't think he should be fired for it, nor do I think it's racist. Since this is likely to be argued quite strongly I'd like you t...

Lol. If I am it's not deliberate. Maybe you have a cookie on you. -grins-

I usually open emails. I trust Yahoo to screen them all. Probably a bit naive but hey. If they rubbish then I mark them as spam and I guess they get blocked.

If you haven't watched Drawn Together you could try that. It's a really funny series that mocks a bunch of shows and things. I lent my first season cd to a friend and haven't seen him in two years... I still need to get it back sometime.

Re: The great emigration debate

In a way we did just come out of a war. Was a civil war though, not between two countries. I remember reading an article on affirmitive action in the US. Showed how some black people felt. Some liked it and others didn't as they couldn't tell why they were hired. Especially for things like sports te...

Re: Should this site be for South Africans only?

I haven't ever been overseas so maybe if I do go I'll find it's nicer here but considering how things are here I doubt it. Then again most of the stuff I like doesn't come from here, it's from Europe and Asia. Also I wondered about coping with going to a country where English isn't the first languag...

I was going to wear my tail once when my aunt was going to take me shopping but my mom made me take it off because she didn't want to be associated with me. Although since she wasn't even going I don't see the logic behind that but hey... I don't understand my family.

Re: Religion In The Workplace (OR: WWJD?)

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand I don't like discrimination but it does happen (and affirmitive action is discrimination. The term they use for it in the UK is apparently positive discrimination). That said I also think a company should be able to hire whoever they want and if you only wa...

Re: Should this site be for South Africans only?

I voted maybe. I'm not totally against furs from othr parts of the world joining here. But I think there are plenty of sites for any and all furs. Also since the majority of furs are in the US or Europe the sites are all skewed in their favour and the few SA furs that there are get lost amongst the ...
