Re: What are you doing RIGHT NOW?

Giving the Witcher series a go. Not sure how it'll be. Wasn't really into the game. Massive open world games don't really draw me. I tried number 2 and stopped after the prologue. I don't think it was bad. Just complicated and I guess I didn't have the energy to learn it at the time. I should give ...

Re: What are you listening to RIGHT NOW? - Video edition

I won’t be coming home I won’t be going anywhere I will guard this post forever Here on the alpine slope where I did my final stand I shall remain Among the ice and snow that binds me to this mountain A force of nature too strong, sent from above Where spirits lead the way, the winds will never fad...

Re: The rough road to animal personhood

On the topic, I was informed that recently Spain recognised animals as sentient beings and not objects in civil law. It also suggests this was part of European law already but I don't recall hearing much about that before. https://english.elpais.com/society/2021-12-03/spain-approves-new-law-recogniz...

Re: The rough road to animal personhood

The ethic's surrounding veganism revolves around the abuse of animals in the process of meats manufacturing. By eating lab grown meat, you bypass all those ethics. Don't you? So what's the issue? Then my next question is, is it really an ethics issue if you refuse to eat lab grown meat too? I fear ...

Re: The rough road to animal personhood

Lab-grown meat would be better but not perfect. It solves most of the ethical issues but, if I remember correctly, it's quite expensive. Also most mammalian cell cultures are grown in the off-products from slaughter houses and that has not been fixed yet, although some companies were working on plan...

For me it only lasted a short while and I think got fixed once I loaded the domains individually. But it was all the Cloudflare sites at the same time.

Re: What are you doing RIGHT NOW?

I've had that sort of thing. I figured it was because I'm weird with cookies and java and stuff. I think it's because things are loading from different places, e.g. The site is sofurry.com but the thumbnails are coming from sofurryfiles.com. So the different domains have separate Cloudflare and won'...

Re: Best Disney Renaissance films

I wonder how much when you saw them matters. Lion King obviously has massive furry credentials, so let's exempt it from this. The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and Aladdin were all ones I saw quite young. They are good but I think I probably see them more as kid's films because I ...

Best Disney Renaissance films

My answer on Twitter:
This is tough! There are some great films there.
Lion King is an easy first pick.
Mulan will come second.
Then a toss-up between Tarzan and Aladdin but I'll probably go Tarzan.
But they all have some really strong selling points.
