To be honest, I would never consider DVD's over the option of a 1TB hard drive. Its just far more versitle to move around 1TB of data instead of lugging over CD-cases worth of DVD's.

The Archos 9 is a really awesome device. Comes with a stack of features and i'm sure it would see to your needs. Just double check the weight of it. AFAIK, the Archos 9 doesn't have any major DRM restrictions.

Would you use something like a netbook with a swivel screen, running windows 7?
