Just watched Sweden win the Eurovision Song Contest with the quote "We are all heroes no matter who we love, who we are, or what we believe in". Very proud to be Swedish tonight!

Re: How did you lose your faith? / Or convert?

I have no idea how this stuff works outside of Sweden, but here you become a member of the Church of Sweden when you're baptized as a baby (which I was and which I think most people still are, because of tradition). Being a member means that a certain percetage of your income goes to the Church ever...

Re: How did you lose your faith? / Or convert?

My story is a bit different (and possibly less interesting) since I’ve grown up in one of the least religious countries in the world, with no one in my family or among my friends being religious at all. As a consequence, I never went to church as a kid, except for the few times I was there in grades...

Re: Sculpting

Awesome! I haven't used Sculptris a whole lot so I don't think I have any actual advice unfortunately. The software itself is very uncomplicated though as you've probably noticed and you should be able to get hang of things quickly :)

I'm still weirded out by wearing shoes inside, as well as by the prevalence of tile floors over there.

Kenjo's art

Thought I'd share some of my recent artwork: a pencil sketch, and an inked and colored drawing of my fursona that I finished yesterday :) I'm currently working on improving my coloring skills.

Re: Art mediums

Awesome thorough post! :D I absolutely love doing shading with pencils, it's quite fun! Shading with pencils is fun indeed, and I love being able to just doodle around with them and have it come out much nicer than when I try to do the same on the computer (which usually ends up as a total mess). It...

Art mediums

I haven't been able to find any discussion on art mediums on here, so I’m curious about you guys’ opinions on the many ways of creating art :) What type of mediums do you use to create your own artwork with and what types of mediums have you tried? Maybe traditional mediums like watercolors, oil pai...

Just a quick note: nāga is a Sanskrit word (meaning cobra and also referring to a snake diety). The ancient Greek word for snake on the other hand is ὄφις (óphis), and the modern Greek equivalent is φίδι (phídi) :)

Re: Anatomical sketch

I think it looks neat! :) The only thing that strikes me is that the right leg of the character looks like it might connect to the pelvis a little bit too far down. I took the freedom of doodling a little bit on your drawing, with the red showing what it is like at the moment and the green showing w...

I work in 3D as well(maya and mudbox), but nothing along the furry lines yet. Although I did work on a goat with machine guns strapped to it's sides XD

I've worked very little with 3D so far, this is my first 'furry' sculpture. That goat sounds quite cool :)

Sculpting

I've been spending some time this evening playing around in Sculptris which I got quite a long time ago but haven't been using a lot, and I thought I might share the results with you guys. I did a quick paint job as well :)

Does anyone else here do sculpting or 3D modeling?

Re: Being a Continent

I think you would get the same kind of response from people here in Sweden. At least personally identifying myself as 'European' doesn't feel right. I'd much rather say that I'm Swedish. If I can just throw an idea out there, one part of the answer you're looking for might perhaps be that many count...

Re: Trans, transphobia and pronouns

That is interesting. I suppose it's unlikely but do you know if people who speak those languages are more or less likely to be trans compared to English? Could trans just due to gender roles and language rather than something more intrinsic? I remember hearing something similar about how languages ...

Re: Trans, transphobia and pronouns

This might be slightly off-topic, but regarding the original question, it would perhaps be interesting to note that this "problem" of having to choose whether to use he or she when referring to someone who identifies as the opposite gender simply does not exist in some languages. Out of the 378 lang...
