Dice

Post by Leeward »

Do any of you perhaps know of a place in the Western Cape where I could acquire a set of dice (d20, d12, etc) suitable for D&D and such? I've already looked around a little and found nothing so far, and I'd rather try to find some locally before buying online.

You could always fold your own if you can't find any real ones to buy.

When they had a shop in JHB these guys were pretty decent for the role playing accessories

Otherwise I remember these guys had stuff a couple years back

It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, especially if you live near him.

Always be yourself..... Unless you can be a Dragon, then always be a Dragon

I have been to Battle Bunker in Somerset West and Tygervalley; the former just moved and doesn't have stock yet, the latter does not and will not have. Claremont branch and Wizards' Warehouse are a little far away for me so I'll have to make a day trip out of it... or send a minion on a mission.

Thanks folks.

Battle bunker is also in Tygervalley mall. Third level under game. I was there yesterday. Apparently there is a place near the palm mall in Durbanville central as well.

Edit:
Oh wow. I just said the same thing that's already been said like twice......

Hopefully repetition works.

This site is a bit broken but apparently the guy is in Durbanville somewhere.

Here's a suggestion: Dice app. Doesn't have quite the sane appeal, but does the job

I can't find anything on maps that might be relevant; I'll go looking in the area if I happen to go there.

I tried to send the guy an email, but all addresses on the site bounce.

That's a good temporary solution, but kind of defeats the purpose.

So the options I have left are:

Battle Bunker (Claremont)
Wizards' Warehouse
Palm Grove Shopping Centre and surroundings

Thanks guys, I'll let you know if I find anything. If I don't I guess I'll just order online.

When I get the time, I would really love to get an engineering firm to make a brass set for myself. I can engrave all the numbering myself.
I just think they would look awesome in brass with black enamel inlay for the numbers.

So I eventually trekked all the way to Wizards, and got these little beauties... you can't really tell from the pic but they're slightly opalescent.

I tracked down a company that actually supplies brass DnD dice. With import costs and postage, I'm looking at around R600. They are pretty thou.
On another note. I used my fursona as my beast companion. My friends all play along side him and don't even know.

My one friend started writing a manga, starring us. Gave up my fursona for that. Sadly, I haven't seen anything happen there... Think he abandoned the project
