I would buy it on Steam, but fighting games probably the only genre other than "party games" that make sense on consoles. When the PS4 becomes reasonably priced, I might pick it up.

I dunno. From everything I've seen, I don't know if I'll buy it. It just doesn't look that much better than the last one.

In my experiences, fighting games are very fun for about a week, then lose their appeal quite fast...

That's because they are made to be enjoyed on a consol with some friends and a couple of beers.

Yeah. Look it definitely has better gameplay than MK9, but I miss a lot of the old characters and the story mode ends with a disappointing boss fight.

One thing that is nice is it has cross-platform play, so we can play online together regardless of which platform you get the game for.

It's hard finding South African players to play against otherwise though.

I know Siren is a big Mortal Combat player but she's stuck in Qatar

Cross platform, you say? That's pretty cool. It's a pity that the PC version doesn't have split screen, though.

LOL!

Yes Mr Snowleopard, Mortal Kombat requires split screen so that when you play 2 player on one pc, you can watch the same fight twice as much for double the action! :P

I am guessing you meant it doesn't have 2 player on one PC, but it does. Just make sure you have two remotes. No split screen required. :)

Sorry, when I said split screen, I basically meant the ability for two people to play on one PC. So it's possible, you say?

Yes. Vox and I were doing it the other day. :P

With that said, if you have played Mortal Kombat 9 until you got bored of it, then Mortal Kombat X - albeit an improvement - will probably not give you your money's worth.

That's unfortunate, but I did really like MK9.
