Cars !! :D

#1

Post by Revan Wolf »

Hi Guys,

I tried looking for a Thread about cars and sadly found nothing, so i thought I'd make one.
I hope this is the right place for it, and I mean we Furs need to get from point A to point B.

So feel free to use this thread to talk about , well your cars.

I have a 2013 Polo GTI, and I'm loving it :3

Petrol usage sucks tough xD

How about you guys ? :)

I only wish mine was that nice, although I do get nearly 20km to the litre... i10 1.2l.

Been on here for a year and actually not noticed the lack of car thread... But good one.

Next... How about fantasy garage...

Well I got very lucky and my gran got a free car, so I got her car ^^

It is a 96 Toyota Rav4, the three door.
I don't have my drivers yet but i do have my learners, so I drive it pretty often (To school and such).
My dad uses it as his car now though, since it's slightly lighter on fuel than his kombi (I do mean slightly, it is a permanent 4 wheel drive) so it has aged a lot, my dad doesn't feel the need to take care of it since it isn't his :p

But its okay, I get an epic car when I turn 18, in just four and a bit months ^^

I know this is an old topic but I just had to seeing as I am a car enthusiast and collector. I currently have 5 cars 4 Vw's and my daily driver Kia Picanto 2012 1.2 EX brilliant little car petrol usage just amazing. I have a classic VW beetle which I use to go to car shows. I also have two 1970's kombi pickups and a bajaj bug with a 2l dual carb motor. I am busy saving to convert my one kombi to a Subaru 2l turbo engine. I drove 40300 km's with my Kia since I got it march 2012, I constantly drive and can't sit for a few hours without getting behind the wheel.

Get a smaller displacement motorcycle, and you will never be able to say that a car is light on fuel ever again. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 gets 3.4 L/100 km, and it's much quicker off the line than that car of yours.

Might be faster than my car off the line, but I can drive through potholes, transport five people plus luggage in my car and my fuel consumption is 3.3l / 100km on the highway at speeds of 120 km/h and 5.2 l/100 km in suburbs. Plus my tires doesn't cost more than my vehicle to replace. BTW I am a fan of Kawasaki Ninja, but I prefer a car.

Ha ha ha. My bmw will out match any car on terrain.
Potholes are a joke and speed bumps are just an excuse to get some small air. Off road it's a real monster.
I won't lie. Your petrol consumption might beat mine, but that's only because I drive like a hooligan.
I love my car too, i'm just born for a bike thou.

Let me Guess, X series BMW? My mother has a 2003 BMW X5 3.0d I drive it more than she does. I love the X series BMW's, or basically any BMW for that matter. Did a 3000+ kilos run with my mum's car last year Dec, really great car and powerful as hell. I always floor the BMW when I drive it, I am addicted to that pull away power.

I think that he's actually talking about a BMW R1200GS Adventure motorcycle.

I love those bikes so much. Extremely comfortable, great performance, and that engine sound.

There's an R1200GS parked in my bay downstairs. 8-)

American cruisers. Ergh!

If you want something for long distance travel, get a Kawasaki ZX-14R (cooler and faster) or a BMW K1600GT (much more comfortable).

Yay, a car thread!

I currently have a '81 Mitsubishi Colt Galant Sigma.
It's a bit on the old side (no shit, Sherlock!?), but it's in excellent condition and has a nice gearbox. Didn't need much work when I bought it. And it isn't too slow either! I won't comment on fuel consumption though, *cough cough*.
I like it quite a lot, always had a thing for 80's cars after all. Planning on getting some nice wheels for it. Not this flashy, mismatching stuff most people my age shove onto their cars though. Something from the same era as the car, obviously. Other plans include mods to the exhaust system, new speakers (the ones in the car are pretty worn out) and bumpers from the '79 Colt Galant, as they look better, being made of bare chromed metal instead of plastic-covered metal.
But yeah, here it is, my pride and joy!
Behold, the Sigma!
Behold, the Sigma!
But the car I really want someday, is a '83-'85 Toyota Celica Supra Mk-II P-Type. 2.8 Inline-6 DOHC engine, rear-wheel drive (LIKE IT SHOULD BE), Lotus-tuned suspension, coupe fastback design, iconic 80's popup headlights, flared wheel-arches, white-letter sport tires, the list of things I love about it goes on forever!
Here's a stunning example of one.

I don't even own a car, 'cause they are just so damn boring in comparison to riding a motorcycle. My VFR will toast pretty much any car that you're likely to find on the street when it comes to acceleration, and you can't wheelie a car.

@everyone please find a picture of a normal car popping a wheelie. >_> Just for fun...

1999 Ford Fiesta Flair is my car 1.3 5 door. In all fairness I've had my experiences on two wheels and after about 2 slips on wet roads and hearing about the crashes some of the South African biker Furs have been through...I'd rather spend my time in a coffin on wheels. Equal danger.
