Ah yeah! Campy and Connor... I am not going to stop reading a well drawn, entertaining comic just cause there are gay characters involved, that would be discrimination....

Re: What are you reading RIGHT NOW? (Apart from this post)
I read a piece of it a while back when I first started looking for furry comics, and I'm almost positive there are lots more gay characters than just those two. Isn't somebody's father in there super ultra flamboyantly gay (almost to the point of it being a caricature of a negative stereotype)? I think there are probably others, too, but I didn't read very far.

"The Junk Hyenas Diner" by The Chu (the same person who makes "Slightly Damned").

Personally, I think it's better to focus on one thing at a time so you don't end up half-assing everything, but this is still good for a smile and a chuckle. :3

Other than mostly boring sites on my tab nothing much, suppose I should finish one of those books on my bedside table while I have to work late.

Re: What are you reading RIGHT NOW? (Apart from this post)
That looks amazing but I just can't stand loading page by page, especially when they're bigger than my laptop screen. If only it were available as a download. I do make some exceptions, short self-contained comics and when I've been there from the start (Lucid's Dream) but still gets to me. I've got two comic series I'm saving each page but haven't actually read in forever because it's too frustrating.

I always do that... But there is an alternative... You're a bit more clued up at programming than I am... If you google Web Comic Downloader there is a program that dowbloads them page for page, and if you know how to, you coulr alter the already existing profiles to download almost any comic page for page automatically...Rakuen Growlithe wrote:I've got two comic series I'm saving each page but haven't actually read in forever because it's too frustrating.

You could also use a recursive website downloader for offline viewing and then search the resulting folder for large images.

Recently finished Flowers for Algernon.
Do self-help books count? I'm currently reading Improve Your Handwriting: Teach Yourself by Rosemary Sassoon. It's pretty neat so far.

Re: What are you reading RIGHT NOW? (Apart from this post)
I just started reading "Jack", a comic by Driprat. This is easily one of the most disturbing things I have ever read in my entire life, but it's so intense I just can't stop. It's about life after death, Heaven, Hell, angels, demons, and sin. Lots of sin.
But be warned.
This comic mostly takes place in Hell and revolves around people who have committed atrocious acts in life, so a lot of the imagery is very disturbing, despite the simple art style. The violence and gore in this comic is absolutely stomach turning (literally).
It deals with very mature themes, such as rape and murder, contains scenes of nudity and graphic sex, and is definitely not for anyone under the age of 18.
Then why am I even writing about this comic if it's so messed up? Well, maybe because there is so much pain and suffering on every page, it's the beautiful moments that truly stand out. It's moved me to tears on more than one occasion, and that's why I'm recommending it.

Warning: There are polls at the bottom of the site, so don't scroll all the way down or you'll run into spoilers.

Been reading a lot of Kyell Gold's books. Currently reading isolation play
Honestly, I don't really see his books as "erotica", like they're classified as. Never read it as such (with my pants down, that is). The stories are usually brilliant, and while there is occasional yiff, it feels fitting, adding to the story instead of just being there so there's yiff

I agree... I read Winter Games... And although there was a little yiff in there... It was barely a page long...jacojerb wrote:Been reading a lot of Kyell Gold's books. Currently reading isolation play

It's not like other fiction you get on FA and the sorts... The fiction is not built around the yiff... It's not the focus.

Spent a lot of time recently reading things for pleasure, news articles, sport articles, creepy pasta and I'm considering reading Jane Eyre again maybe even going back to some old favourites. I would love to find my copy of Victor Pelevin's The Sacred Book of the Werewolf. But I lost that somehow...it would be easier if I had a bookshelf.

but all of them are fucking wonderful.
some of my favourites are:
Going Postal
Making Money
Monstrous Regiment
Carpe Jugulum
Feet Of Clay (really REALLY loved this one)
The Night Watch
SO many good books
Edit: The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents is also a wonderful book.
