I just got back from my fur suppliers and they said they are no longer going to import the fur. I went to get more green fur and it was sold out. Basically I cannot get ahold of fur anymore. Thanks life for fucking me over again.

I believe Niexie (or Carrousel Studios or whatever) wanted to start a fur shop at some point, she might be able to help. Otherwise you could always order over the Internet, but that tends to be rather dear with shipping and import duties.

Yeah that is the issue, I had a word with the guy at the shop and he said that the actual price of the fur is not that expensive it's all the shipping costs and importing duties on textile in the Fuckup of a country we live in.

I've had a fucking terrible day so far and this is just icing on the cake. I am trying to source alternative sources but it seems that this isn't going to happen. The guy said there used to be a company that made fur about three years back in Cape Town but the owner died and took the company down with him. Resorting them to import fur.

Back in the 90's teddy bear and toys made from fur was big in SA and fur was cheap and locally produced back then. Until the chinese flooded the market with their crappy Chinese made toys that was cheaper than the goods made in SA. That caused the incline of the fur price and the decline of availability.

Even if Niexie is able to import fur it won't be cheap at all. The best price that the guy at the shop could give me was R350 per meter. That's quite an incline from R230 p/m.

It's starting to look like SA won't be destined for fursuiting anywhere in the near future. I am completely bummed about this.

It does seem fair right? Only issue with it now is that the fur won't be available on demand causing the commissions to have to be well planned out. As in waiting time for a head commission +-6 months if I am lucky. Turnover days would be terrible. I need to rethink this business strategy.
