We have small regional furmeets but we have not had any large scale conventions yet. Meet ups and events are posted in the Regional section.

We've had a few national meets too, but not recently. I suggest you speak to Ivic_Wulfe about that.

Hello and welcome ShuanWolf! I hope you enjoy your stay and fine many friends here.

It's always nice to see new, friendly, furry faces - especially ones from Cape Town! What games do you play, other than Skyrim?
Hahaha!

I didn't buy Call of Duty: Ghosts, because it really was a poor rehash of stagnating CoD material, however, that's the exact same reason I didn't buy Battlefield 4 after Battlefield 3 either - not that that stopped you.

I will be getting CoD: AW because it's been a while since I played a CoD, and they've actually tried quite hard to innovate on the franchise by copying Titanfall: introducing lots of new gameplay mechanics by means of high-tech gadgetry - especially exo-suits - which is fine by me because I was really looking forward to Titanfall before EA announced the game would not be released in SA.

You on the other hand will be getting Battlefield: Hardline because you're a die-hard Battlefield fanboy and you don't mind paying $60 for a cops-and-robbers reskin. If you don't feel like waiting Sev, you can always go buy GTA right now.

GG no re. :P

Haha yes, I think the only COD I don't have is one of the old ones COD finest hour.

But I wait a few months before I buy a new game feel it's a waste to buy a brand new game for R700 when in a few months time you can buy it a bit cheaper or second hand.

Anyway that's just my opinion :)

On the contrary, I will not be buying BFH, I will not even be playing it. I have had enough of competitive play. I don't benefit from it anymore, I don't derive enjoyment from it anymore. I've also had enough of Battlefield.

^^ So do you play on console?

I do that with most PC games these days. But games by those greedy bastards at Activision only seem to drop prices a decent amount like a year after release -_-

With CoD I basically skipped every second release for a bit, so I could see enough changes collect and not feel like I'm buying a complete re-hash. MW1 and BO were my definite favorites there ^_^

With Battlefield, because the game has so much variety and a significantly lower-price on PC than CoD, it's been easy for me to justify each game up until Hardline, because the minor changes across the board from BF3 to Bf4 collectively added up enough for it to feel 'different' to me. Most notably Commander mode and Levolution and the change in artistic style and map design.

The only reason I don't acquire new games is because my PC is so old it can't run anything newer than from ~2007 with decent graphics. As long as it can play TF2 I'm happy. Then again the loading times are killing me.

Hmm yes MW & BO is also one of my favorites, released in 2010 last year I bought it for my friend up in jozi as he never played it before, and it still cost R300 on Xbox.

But the WW2 COD games have a special place for me as both my grandparents were in the war (one form UK and the other from Holland) ;)
