Re: Indy's Intro

I outlined a few genres above the wall o' text; RPG mainly. A big fan of The Elder Scrolls as well and dutifully played every game in the series :) Even the first two, which are really not fun at all by modern standards? Heck even Morrowind was enough of an improvement to render them irrelevant (Mo...

If you like parentheses, you will love Scheme... Here's a taste: (define (optimal-matches score input-list) (let ((list-of-optimal-matches (filter (lambda (string-pair) (= (score (car string-pair)(car (cdr string-pair))) (apply max (map (lambda(string-pair) (score (car string-pair)(car (cdr string-...

Google Drive Linux

Google neglected to provide a client for their cloud hosting service, [Google] Drive, despite the Linux community reminding them for years... but I guess they are focused on Android - it's their horse in the smartphone market and they are capitalising off of it, after all. There are 3 main alternati...

No need to talk to IRL people about it, that's what the internet is for :P That^ I've been to the psychologist enough times and the last thing I would need is to display something that will give my folks another reason to embark me on a journey to "mental health", whatever the concept of it is thes...

Re: What are you doing RIGHT NOW?

I just got a phone call about half an hour ago tell me that my grandfather has just passed away. He was 83 and had terminal cancer and was also slowly going into cardiac arrest. Even though I was waiting for that call, and even though I had said my goodbyes, it really hits one when it actually happ...

I think it's good that there's a variety in metal... Doom lacks those points, but meh, it fills in those spaces with a good atmospheric feel

Her vocals are really good and fitting into the whole composition (not going to go into how Tarja Turunen has arguably the best voice on Earth)
She was also born in South Africa; the guitarist is from Swallow the Sun

Do you play Terraria, Diablo, Starcraft II, or Company of Heroes per chance? <rant> Yes, but animals only have free will to a certain extent - they operate on traits that they developed over the ages to survive by adaptation. The nature dictates them and yeah, there are pec...
